Debbie was born in 1952 in Ballston Spa, New York, the daughter of Jeannine Butler and raised by the late Peggy Lowell. She was a graduate of Corinth High School, New York, Class of 1970. Mrs. Fiebig was a Dispatcher for a trucking firm in Greensburg, Pennsylvania. Then she worked at Costco in Winchester as a food demonstrator, followed by being a Line Operator for Kraft Food Company, retiring in 2014. She was a member of the Winchester German Club; loved to cook, especially the German dish, Rouladen, as well as many other German dishes. Debbie enjoyed a good steak and traveling with her husband, Ted. They traveled to twenty countries and thirty states, her favorite place being Barbados. She looked forward to watching ice skating and the Olympics, but her favorite were the summer games. Debbie’s greatest passion was her family, especially spending time with grandson, Sterling.

Debbie married Detlef Heinz “Ted” Fiebig on March 23, 1979 in Greensburg, Pennsylvania.

In 1989 Debbie, Ted, and adopted daughter, Natascha relocated from Western Pennsylvania to Winchester. Natascha was 4 weeks old when she became the loving daughter of Debbie and Ted, and was the youngest child ever adopted from El Salvador.

Surviving with her loving husband of 38 years is her mother, Jeannine Butler of Schenectady, NY; daughter, Natascha Purtlebaugh of Winchester, Virginia and precious grandson, Sterling Purtlebaugh of Winchester, Virginia.
