Harold Lee Anderson
Harold Lee “Oodle” Anderson, age 53, of Winchester, Virginia, passed away on Saturday, March 25, 2017 at Winchester Medical Center.
Mr. Anderson was born in 1963 in Winchester, Virginia, the son of the late Richard Rhodes Anderson and Edith Catherine Anderson of South Hill, Virginia. Oodle was a graduate of Handley High School. He was employed at Sharp Shopper in Winchester as leader of the frozen food department and was a freight handling specialist for Estes Freight Lines in Winchester. Oodle was an honorary member of the Stonewall Ruritan and Three Bends Hunt Club. He loved being outdoors whether it was mowing the lawn, washing cars, or being at the beach. He enjoyed the sport of baseball, watching the game and doing his own commentary.
In addition to his mother, Oodle is survived by his son, Matthew Charles Anderson (Ashley) of Chesapeake, Virginia; grandchildren, Landon Charles Anderson and Addison Marie Anderson; brother, Richard Franklin Anderson (Susan) of Bracey, Virginia; niece, Korynn Elizabeth Anderson and nephew, John Richard Anderson and his soulmate, Tonya Rinker. Oodle is also survived by his lifelong friend and mentor, Joe Hulver, his wife Nancy and their daughter Theresa, whom Oodle considered as his sister.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, March 30, 2017, from 6:00 until 9:00 PM at Omps Funeral Home, South Chapel, 1260 Front Royal Pike, Winchester, Virginia.
A funeral service will be conducted on Friday, March 31, 2017, at 11:00 AM at Omps, South Chapel, with Reverend Steve Melester officiating. Interment will be in Shenandoah Memorial Park, Winchester.
Family and friends are invited to attend a reception following the interment at Burnt Factory United Methodist Church, 1943 Jordan Springs Road, Stephenson, VA 22656.
Pallbearers will be Joe Hulver, Ricky Edmonds, David Werdebaugh, Travis “Slinky” Hileman, Mike Goode, Ricky Hickerson, and Todd Pierce.

Sharp Shopper is not the same without oodles. He wou;c always speak to me and ask about the Winchester Royals. Several years Oodles cooked hamburgers and cheeseburger for the Royals as a volunteer. May God bless his family w

So sorry to hear about the passing of Oodle. We grew up together and hung out for years in high school. We had some good times when we were both members in Friendship firehall.Oodle was a great man and a friend to all. We lost touch over the years but I was able to see him and talk to him one last time. I was in town and went by his work to see him. My thoughts and prayers go out to all of his family. I can still remember hanging out at his house with his mother and his brother Rick. Well thanks my friend for the memories and I'll see you again one day in heaven.

I enjoyed our years of friendship. Playing sports and our trips to AC. Your were one of the nicest men I ever knew and a great Dad.

I was deeply saddened to hear of Harold's passing. Harold was a fine man and a significant influence for good in others' lives.I will always remember Harold as an honest and cheerful man with a big smile who loved people. I was privileged to have known him. RIP Harold.... You will be forever missed...

He was a fine man. I worked with him for a good many years at the old Pactiv. He was very funny and always willing to help others and I know that he will be missed by all who knew him. It was so sad to hear of his passing. I know that Heaven has welcomed him.

Although I never seen you very often I always thought of you as part of my extended family along with Rick, Susan , Kory and John. We will miss you Oodle.

I have so many memories. I will cherish them. I will miss you yelling for me when you walked into the store. I always looked forward to that. You were an amazing man and God definitely got someone special.

Oodle.....it was like yesterday when I saw you at your Brother's for your Mom's Birthday. And to think that was the last I will her you say my name. We have known each other for so many years because of my Friendship with you brother that we were all just like Family, you Rick and your Mom. It was so sad to hear that you had left us so soon in life but there is always a reason for everything and maybe yours is to keep an eye on my Mom which just passed until my Dad joins her some day. Deepest condolences to friends and family of Oodle... I loved hearing him say, yah and laugh at whatever situation him and Mr. Hulver were into. So many memories but it will always be his smile I remember the most. You will be greatly missed!

A very hard working, always on the go friendly co-worker who I will miss. There was a family bond with some, and he was one of them. McDonald's in the morning will not be the same. Rest in Peace, Harold. You are missed but not forgotten.

I've known Harold for a few years and worked with him for a couple of those. He was always a great guy and I was surprised to hear about him passing. I'm sure very few can say he didn't have some kind of positive impact on their lives or brighten their day. Unfortunately I won't be able to make it to the services, but he will be in my mind.

I worked with Odles for many years at Pactiv. He always had a smile for me. He was a good man and will be missed.

I will never forget all the fun times we had in our hunting shack nicknamed The Tilting Hilton. Poot tried his best to keep us in line. With all the bad people in the world losing such a good person as Poot at such a young age is hard to understand but I know God has a plan and he now has a good man. So long my dear friend.
