Harold Lee Anderson
Harold Lee “Oodle” Anderson, age 53, of Winchester, Virginia, passed away on Saturday, March 25, 2017 at Winchester Medical Center.
Mr. Anderson was born in 1963 in Winchester, Virginia, the son of the late Richard Rhodes Anderson and Edith Catherine Anderson of South Hill, Virginia. Oodle was a graduate of Handley High School. He was employed at Sharp Shopper in Winchester as leader of the frozen food department and was a freight handling specialist for Estes Freight Lines in Winchester. Oodle was an honorary member of the Stonewall Ruritan and Three Bends Hunt Club. He loved being outdoors whether it was mowing the lawn, washing cars, or being at the beach. He enjoyed the sport of baseball, watching the game and doing his own commentary.
In addition to his mother, Oodle is survived by his son, Matthew Charles Anderson (Ashley) of Chesapeake, Virginia; grandchildren, Landon Charles Anderson and Addison Marie Anderson; brother, Richard Franklin Anderson (Susan) of Bracey, Virginia; niece, Korynn Elizabeth Anderson and nephew, John Richard Anderson and his soulmate, Tonya Rinker. Oodle is also survived by his lifelong friend and mentor, Joe Hulver, his wife Nancy and their daughter Theresa, whom Oodle considered as his sister.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, March 30, 2017, from 6:00 until 9:00 PM at Omps Funeral Home, South Chapel, 1260 Front Royal Pike, Winchester, Virginia.
A funeral service will be conducted on Friday, March 31, 2017, at 11:00 AM at Omps, South Chapel, with Reverend Steve Melester officiating. Interment will be in Shenandoah Memorial Park, Winchester.
Family and friends are invited to attend a reception following the interment at Burnt Factory United Methodist Church, 1943 Jordan Springs Road, Stephenson, VA 22656.
Pallbearers will be Joe Hulver, Ricky Edmonds, David Werdebaugh, Travis “Slinky” Hileman, Mike Goode, Ricky Hickerson, and Todd Pierce.
