James “Jimmy” Edward Davis, 64, of Bunker Hill, West Virginia, passed away Saturday, April 21, 2018, at his home.
Mr. Davis was born in 1953 in West Virginia, the son of Junior E. Davis and the late Frances M. Davis. He attended Musselman High School and was a retired carpenter. Jimmy was a member of the carpenters union, Local 2033. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and camping. Jimmy was an avid fan of the Dallas Cowboys and enjoyed NASCAR (Dale Earnhart fan). Jimmy was the caretaker for his Dad, loved spending time with the grandchildren and spending time at the cabin. A loving son, father, brother, and grandfather that will be missed.
Surviving with his father are daughters, Jessica Davis of Winchester, Virginia and Melissa Braithwaite (Chad) of Paw Paw, West Virginia; grandchildren, Christian, Clayton, and Claire Braithwaite of Paw Paw, West Virginia and Taliyah and Kyren Brooks of Winchester, Virginia; and sisters, Carol Sue Davis of Bunker Hill, West Virginia and Margaret Ann Kinsey of Frederick, Maryland.
Along with his mother, Jimmy was preceded in death by a grandson, Brandon Davis and brother-in-law, Irving Kinsey.
The family will receive friends from 11 am to 12 pm on Friday at Omps Funeral Home, Amherst Chapel with a funeral service to follow at 12 pm with Reverend Mike Mayton officiating. Interment will be in Chestnut Grove Cemetery, Frederick County, Virginia.
Serving as pallbearers will be Chad Braithwaite, Christian Braithwaite, Clayton Braithwaite, Kyren Brooks, Paul Brooks, Joe Davis, and Walter Davis.
