Michael Edward Weber, 62, of Winchester, Virginia, died Thursday, July 20, 2017, at Winchester Medical Center.
Mr. Weber was born in Fairfax, Virginia, in 1954, the son of the late, Paul and Barbara M. Weber. He graduated from Fairfax City High School with the class of 1973. He was the owner and operator of Winchester Termite and Pest Control for over thirty years. Michael was an active and devoted member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church where he was active with the Knights of Columbus serving as a member of the Deacon Edward L. Christianson Council of which he was a Financial Secretary. Also he was a Fourth Degree, with the Father Robert O. Hickman Assembly, of which he was the Commander of the Color Core, for several years, served as faithful captain and a faithful pilot. He was an active member in the Friday Night Fish Fry, a volunteer at the VA Center, regularly collected donations for the KOVAR (Knights of Virginia Assisting Citizens with Intellectual Disabilities), and co-manager of the Knights of Columbus Social Club. Also, he was a prominent member in the Knights of Columbus Tasker Road Clean Up, even on the coldest days, and well loved by all the members! There was not an event that you would not find Mike at, he always wanted to help others. He was an usher at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church for fifteen years and was the head usher of the Sunday evening mass. In his spare time, he loved his crossword puzzles, which his mother also had loved. Mike was a loving father and friend to many and can be forever remembered for his faith. He was very talented at running his own home, creating and maintaining the woodworking and doing his own home renovations. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Mr. Weber is survived by his daughter, Sara Elaine Weber, of Arlington, Virginia; two sons, Todd Michael Weber Monger and his wife Lorrie, of Colonial Beach, Virginia, and Samuel G. Weber; one sister, Cece Yarnell and her husband Rod of Naples, Florida; four brothers, Greg Weber and his wife Earlene of Woodward, OK, Paul Weber of Palm Springs, Florida, Dickie Weber and his wife Jan of Bell Island Currituck, NC, and Joey Weber of Florida; best friend, Jim Ryan, as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family and close friends.
Mr. Weber was preceded in death by one brother Patrick Weber and great aunt, Katie O’Brien.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. at Omps Funeral Home, Amherst Chapel. The Father Robert O. Hickman Assembly #1883, of the Knights of Columbus will perform the Chalice Ceremony and the Empty Chair Ceremony.
