My thoughts and prayers are with the Wampler family. I was just sharing with one of my my granddaughters the great memories from my childhood. Uncle Jack and so many family members used to gather at Mama Hooker's house. Many times I have thought of Jack and Aunt Polly sitting on the porch. Those were times I wish we could do again, and I haven't forgotten. So very sorry I could not be there. God Bless you all.

I had the pleasure of having this kind and wonderful man as my father in law. He was more of a father and I loved him.so very very much. He cared about me and loved me and always had kind words and wisdom for me. He knew no strangers! His love for God was so strong and when I met him I was a member of the Methodist Church and he told me Methodist's make good Baptists! He will be missed so very much! I would not be the man I am today without my grandad. He was as strong as he was tender. He never met a stranger and he was more afraid of what may happen if he didn't ask a person if they knew the Lord than to speak to them about it. Most people do not know him the way I did because he wasn't only my grandad he was also my boss and mentor for 18 years. He will be missed but he will never be forgotten.
Barbara Caylor and Family left a message on June 16, 2018:
One of Pastor Jack’s favorite verses he would share in his sermons to us at Shenandoah Farms Baptist Church was from John 14:1-3 “In my house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.” Rest now, Pastor Jack, for God has welcomed you Home. Peace to Polly Jo, Jan, Jackie and the Wampler Family.
