Philip “Peanut” C. Roan, 56, of Stephens City, Virginia, died Tuesday, February 9, 2016 at his residence.
Mr. Roan was born in 1959, the son of the William L. Roan and the late Betty L. Roan. He worked as a plumber for Phoenix Plumbing Company in Chantilly. All of his life he was an avid Cowboys fan.
Mr. Roan and Carol M. Bowen, his life partner, were together a happy twenty-five years.
Philip is survived by his three step-sons, Allen Bowen, of Stephens City, Virginia, Dana Martin, of Stephens City, Virginia, and Robert Bowen (Kristen), of Winchester, Virginia; his step-granddaughter, Elizabeth L. Bowen, of Winchester, Virginia; his two sisters, Betty Phillips, of Arcadia, Florida and Becky Bishop (Steve), of Arcadia, Florida; his two brothers William Roan, Jr., of Nocatee, Florida and John Roan, of Arcadia, Florida.
Mr. Roan was preceded in death by his sister, Roberta Roan and his brother, Paul Roan.
Philips family will receive friends an hour prior to the service from 1:00 to 2:00 PM at Omps Funeral Home, South Chapel.
A committal service will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, February 12, 2016 at Omps South Chapel with Chaplain Carol Wille officiating. Interment will be in Shenandoah Memorial Park Cemetery.
