Robert “Bob” Paul Colson, 60, of Frederick County, Virginia passed away Tuesday, April 10, 2018, at his home after a long illness.
Bob was born in 1958 in Minneapolis, Minnesota, the son of Maxine Colson and the late Douglas Colson. He was a graduate of Strasburg High School, Class of 1976. Bob maintained a strong work ethic and his greatest passions in life were hunting, fishing, enjoying his family and the outdoors. He proudly contributed to hunters for the hungry. Bob was the kindest person anyone would ever want to be associated with. He attended Braddock Street United Methodist Church. A very loving husband, father, and grandfather that will be missed.
Bob married Ann Booth Colson on October 6, 1979 in Winchester, Virginia.
Surviving with his mother and his wife, Ann, of 38 years, is a daughter, Sara Grace Gould (Jake) of Clear Brook, Virginia; a son, Kyle Douglas Colson of Denver, Colorado; grandchildren, Harper and Olivia; and brothers, Howard Lee Colson (Betty) of Strasburg, Virginia and Gary Dean Colson (Cindy) of Culpeper, Virginia.
All services will be private. Arrangements are being handled by Omps Funeral Home, Amherst Chapel.
