Beulah Marie “Mee Maw” Shrout, 82, of Winchester, Virginia passed away Wednesday, January 30, 2019, at Winchester Medical Center with her family by her side.
Mrs. Shrout was born in 1936 in Romney, West Virginia, the daughter of the late Lester and Goldie Kesner. She and her husband, Carl, were owners of B&C Furniture Store in Winchester for 35 years. Mrs. Shrout retired from Frederick County Public School System, where she was a bus aide. She was a talented seamstress, enjoyed working in her yard, setting out her lawn decorations, and was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan. Mrs. Shrout attended Church of the Nazarene in the past. She was a loving wife, mother, and Mee Maw that is missed and will always be loved.
She married Carl Edward Shrout, Sr. on June 23, 1956 in Romney, West Virginia.
Surviving with her husband of 62 years is a daughter, Barbara S. Wolford; sons, Carl “Eddie” Shrout, Jr. (Brenda), Charles “Chuck” Shrout (Vicky), William “Bill” Shrout, and Michael Shrout; grandchildren, Cody Wolford, Deryk Shrout, Sara Ponn (Tim), William Snapp, and Bradley Shrout; great grandson, Kyler Charles Ponn; brothers, Paul Sites and Lester Sites; loving caregiver, Lilly McIntosh; and her beloved canine, Precious.
Mrs. Shrout was preceded in death by a sister, Delphia Parker; and brothers, Roger and William Blackburn.
All services will be private. Arrangements are being handled by Omps Funeral Home, South Chapel.
