Noel Jo Burriesci, 30, of Stephens City, Virginia entered our Lord’s Kingdom Tuesday, November 21, 2017, with her family surrounding her at Blue Ridge Hospice Residential Facility.
Noel was born in 1986 in South Hampton, New York, the daughter of Frank Burriesci and Dr. Silvia Restivo; stepdaughter of John J. Williams. She was a graduate of John Handley High School, Class of 2005 and earned a Bachelor’s Degree from James Madison University. Noel was a Therapeutic Day Treatment Counselor at James Wood Middle School. She enjoyed running, especially marathons; liked reading and baking, and was very popular with her friends. Noel’s greatest passion was her family and spending time with them. She was a member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church. A loving daughter, sister, granddaughter, and friend that will be missed, but who was a true angel on earth and now in heaven.
Surviving with her parents and stepfather is a brother, Gerlando “Jerry” L. Hameister; grandmother, Elisabetta Scianna and husband, John; and many other loving family members and very dear friends.
Noel was preceded in death by grandfather, Ignazio Restivo and grandparents, Vincenzo and Josephine Burriesci.
A gathering of family and friends will be from 9 am to 10 am on Saturday at Omps Funeral Home, Amherst Chapel.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 am on Saturday at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church with Father Eric Shafer officiating. A reception will follow the mass at Omps Reception Center, Amherst Chapel. Interment will be at a later date.
