Terry Alan Cooper, 62, of Frederick County, Virginia passed away Monday, March 11, 2019, at Winchester Medical Center.
Terry was born in 1956 in Leesburg, Virginia, the son of Jane A. Cooper and the late Thomas E. Cooper, Sr. He was a graduate of Loudoun Valley High School, Class of 1974. Terry was a truck driver for many years, driving for GFI for 4 years, Red Star Express for 22 years, and retiring from YRC Worldwide in Manassas. He enjoyed deer hunting, was involved with the 4-H shooting club for many years, and participated in organizing Loudoun Valley High School Reunions. Terry was an avid Orioles fan and enjoyed football. He was a friend to many and never met a stranger. Terry was a member of Fellowship Bible Church in Winchester where he was very involved in the Crack of Dawn Bible study and was an usher in the past.
Terry married Cynthia “Cindy” Johnson on July 25, 1975 in Lovettsville, Virginia.
Surviving with his mother and his wife of 43 years are nephews, Dennis Edward Cooper (Angie) of Somerville, South Carolina and their daughter, Amanda Scoria; Jason D. Cooper of Haymarket, Virginia and his son, Jackson; nieces, Keri B. Shannon (Jeremy) of Chester County, Pennsylvania and their children, Ian and Roxie; Jamie J. Martin (Derek) of Round Hill, Virginia and their children, Landon, Hudson, and Hadley.
Terry was preceded in death by a son, Derek Alan Cooper and a brother, Thomas Edward Cooper, Jr.
A visitation will be from 10 am to 11 am on Thursday at Fellowship Bible Church, 3217 Middle Road, Winchester, Virginia with a funeral service at 11 am with Pastor Mark Carey officiating. A fellowship meal will follow the service at the church. Interment will be in Lovettsville Union Cemetery, Lovettsville, Virginia.
